Antonio D. Sison, CPPS, is Professor of Systematic Theology and Culture, and Vatican Council II Chair of Theology Chair of Theology at Catholic Theological Union, Chicago.

Dr. Sison is committed to contextual, intercultural, and aesthetic approaches to doing systematic theology. He is the author of several books, including The Art of Indigenous Inculturation: Grace on the Edge of Genius (Orbis Books, 2021), a cutting-edge exploration of the phenomenon of religious inculturation through the “aesthetics of liberation,” with case studies from Asian, African, and Latin American postcolonial contexts. His forthcoming book is Intercultural Epiphanies: Signs of Reconciling Grace in the Global South (Orbis Books, Fall 2026). He is a professed Brother of the Missionaries of the Precious Blood (CPPS), US Province.

Allen Yeh, First Vice President

Dr. Allen Yeh is Dean and VP of Academic Affairs at International Theological Seminary, and Creative Director of the Young Adult Initiative at Denver Seminary. Dr. Yeh spent 16 years as a Professor of Intercultural Studies and Missiology at Biola University before his move to International Theological Seminary. He completed his BA from Yale University, MDiv from Gordon-Conwell Seminary, ThM from the University of Edinburgh, and DPhil from Oxford University. Dr. Yeh has traveled the world as a missionary, educator, and speaker, and is the author of Polycentric MIssiology (IVP, 2016) and co-editor with Tite Tienou of Majority World Theologies (William Carey, 2018).

Jose Abraham is Associate Professor of Islamic Studies at Fuller Theological Seminary in Pasadena, California. He received his Ph.D. from the Institute of Islamic Studies at McGill University. His teaching and scholarship explore how missiology can serve as a lens for reimagining the study of World Religions, especially Islam, and World Christianity in ways that equip the church for faithful participation in God’s mission. His forthcoming book, Beyond Orientalism: Decolonizing Christian Approaches to Islam and Engagement with Muslims, draws on postcolonial thought to reconsider Christian approaches to Islam and to explore new pathways for engagement with Muslim communities.

Shawn Behan, Ph.D., Secretary-Treasurer

Shawn Behan is a PhD graduate of Asbury Theological Seminary with a focus on theology and mission, specifically working on the missionary ecclesiology of Lesslie Newbigin. Shawn has a wide range of research interests, which includes theology of mission, history of mission, ecclesiology, Global Christianity, church planting, evangelism, and world religions. Shawn currently teaches for Missouri Baptist University and Maryville University in St. Louis, MO. Shawn has served with APM since 2019, first as Executive Director of Membership and Member Relations and then later joining David Fenrick as Co-Secretary/Treasurer in 2022, before taking over as the sole Secretary/Treasurer in 2023.
