ASM 2011 Annual Meeting Theme Announced. Incoming President Robert Gallagher has announced the theme for the 2011 meeting and issued a call for papers on the theme. The initial details are downloadable here. ------------------------------------- The 2010 annual meeting of the ASM was held June 18-20, at Techny Towers on the Chicago north side. President Miriam Adeney led the program on the theme, “Colorful Initiatives: North American Cultures in Mission,” focusing on mission by ethnic churches in North America. Some of the presentations at the meeting will be published in the January 2011 issue of Missiology. ------------------------------------- The 2009 meeting of the American Society of Missiology was held on June 19-21 at Techny Towers in Techny, Illinois. The theme for the ASM meeting was “Emerging Churches and Other New Christian Movements in North America: The Challenge to Missiology.” Some of the presentations at the meeting were published in the January 2010 issue of Missiology. ------------------------------------- Publication Announcement: The International Mission Bibliography, 1960 - 2000, ed. by Norman Thomas and published by Scarecrow Press, is the culmination of a major effort of the ASM to provide an annotated bibliography of books on missiology published since 1960. ------------------------------------- Photos from past APM/ASM meetings!
