An International Review
The Quarterly
Journal of the ASM
Continuing Practical
Anthropology
Missiology is the quarterly journal of the American Society of
Missiology. It began publication in 1973, continuing in the tradition of
its predecessor Practical Anthropology. An one of the premier scholarly
journals of mission studies, it is distinctively:
• multi-disciplinary: including history, theology, anthropology, communication
theory, religious encounter, ecumenics, methodology.
• interconfessional: including works from Roman Catholic, conciliar,
and conservative evangelical spheres.
• practical: including not just theoretical reflection, but applied
mission science. The journal has a worldwide circulation of approximately 1,500
subscribers (including 1,000 libraries) and costs $26 per year for individuals
($22
for students) and $40 per year for institutions. ASM
membership ($37 per year, $27 for students, $19 for retirees) includes a subscription to the journal. (For details

Online Access Missiology is among 50
key theological journals chosen to be included in
ATLAS, the American
Theological Library Association Serials Project, an undertaking by the
American Theological Library Association.
Its purpose is to digitize 50 years' worth of 50 journals that deal with the
academic study of religion and make them accessible from the Web. All issues of
the journal are indexed and searchable through the ATLA Religion database and
all but the most recent two years of the contents of the journal are available
online through ATLAS. Access to ATLAS is by individual or institutional
subscription.
The regular individual subscriber
price is $150, annually. Subscribers to Missiology (or other constituent
ATLAS titles) are eligible for a subscription price of $120. Rates for a church,
